Xantolis tomentosa, commonly known as the Woolly Ironwood, is a medium-sized evergreen tree that can grow up to 15 meters in height. It features a straight trunk with smooth, greyish bark. The leaves are simple, alternate, and have a leathery texture with a tomentose (woolly) underside. The tree produces small, white, fragrant flowers in clusters, and its fruit is a small, black drupe.

Habitat

Native to India, Sri Lanka, and parts of Southeast Asia, including Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam, Xantolis tomentosa thrives in wet tropical biomes and is commonly found in medium to high elevation evergreen forests, typically between 500 and 1600 meters above sea level.

Planting and Care
