It features a smooth, yellowish-brown bark that produces a milky-white latex. The leaves are simple, opposite, and ovate with a smooth texture. The tree produces small, white flowers in clusters, which turn creamish yellow as they age, and its fruit is a long, cylindrical pod that splits open to release seeds with tufts of white hairs.

Habitat

Native to India, Southeast Asia, and Australia, Wrightia tinctoria thrives in both dry and moist regions, often found in deciduous forests, grasslands, and along riverbanks.
