Scientific Name: Hymenodictyon obovatumFamily: Categories: ,
Hymenodictyon obovatum, commonly known as Kadwa Sirid, is a deciduous tree native to the Western Ghats of India. The leaves are simple, opposite, and have a distinctive obovate to elliptic shape, with a smooth upper surface and a slightly hairy underside.
During the flowering season, which typically occurs from June to October, the tree produces clusters of small, white flowers that are arranged in terminal racemes.
