This tree can reach a height of up to 15 meters, although it can grow even taller, with reports of heights up to 30 meters in optimal conditions. The tree produces small, round figs that are initially green and turn yellow or orange when ripe. These figs are edible and attract various birds and animals.
Ficus talbotii thrives in wet tropical biomes and is commonly found in shola and semi-evergreen forests, often on hills up to 1,200 meters in elevation. The tree prefers rich, well-drained soils and can be found in regions with high humidity and consistent rainfall.
